Lucas Gibbs, Intern
Lucas Gibbs is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern who is committed to providing a supportive, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic environment. He strives to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered as they work through life’s challenges.
Lucas is passionate about supporting individuals and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, and major life transitions. He approaches therapy with authenticity and curiosity, recognizing that each individual’s healing journey is deeply personal. His work focuses on helping clients build insight, develop effective coping skills, and reconnect with their strengths.
In his clinical practice, Lucas integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based methods, and person-centered counseling. He maintains a holistic perspective that considers emotional, physical, and relational well-being, and he is intentional about tailoring his interventions to the unique needs and goals of each client. He also values the importance of genuine connection and believes that trust and respect are central to meaningful therapeutic work.
At SALT Wellness Group, Lucas is grateful for the opportunity to train within a community that emphasizes trauma-informed care, ethical practice, and whole-person wellness. He is committed to ongoing growth as a clinician and to walking alongside clients as they navigate both the challenges and possibilities within their lives.
Outside of his clinical work, Lucas enjoys staying active through sports, unwinding with video games, and exploring new music—interests that help him stay balanced, grounded, and creatively inspired.
