Lucas understands that there is often a gap between how you want to be and how you actually are when it counts: the reaction you regret, the feeling you can't talk yourself out of, the sense that you can see your patterns but still get stuck, whether in your career, your relationships, or a hard life transition.

Together, Lucas helps clients get underneath these patterns, to what they're doing for you and why they're there for you in particular. As that becomes clearer, its grip tends to loosen, and choosing differently starts to feel possible.

Lucas works psychodynamically in a trauma-informed, client-centered way. He pays attention to how your history lives in the present, moves at a pace that feels safe, and shapes the work around what matters most to you. He has experience supporting people through such challenges as anxiety, depression, the long reach of childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the sense of being stuck even when you understand where it comes from.

Lucas also draws on mindfulness and mind-body practices, helping you notice what surfaces in the body as well as the mind. Much of this work is rooted in attachment, in understanding how early relationships shaped the way you inhabit yourself and connect now. Lucas sees clients in person in Beverly on Sundays and by telehealth throughout Massachusetts during the week. He is a graduate student in Social Work currently completing his internship at S.A.LT. Wellness Group.
