Ana Marie Ferrante, She/Her LPCC
May the sunrise bring hope where it once was forgotten.”
From trauma to daily obstacles, Ana’s natural skills in communication, creativity, and interpersonal exchanges will follow you throughout your everyday life. She is a graduate of Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Public Health and a Master’s in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling from Long Island University.
Currently, Ana has her LPCC and is working towards her ATR-BC. She has experience working with Non-Profit Organizations, Private Practice, and Community Mental Health Centers. In addition, she has had the opportunity to work amongst schools and Foster Care Organizations in Grahamstown, South Africa, and Managua / Chacaraseca, Nicaragua. Trained in the rigors of outpatient mental health clinics, Ana worked with both individuals and families on issues like grief and loss, depression/anxiety, and trauma. She also gained valuable experience in facilitating art therapy groups for children who are struggling with social skills.
Ana can assess an individual's needs using drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, play therapy, or other artistic processes. Her compassion, empathy, and positive nature bring warmth and comfort to the therapeutic environment. Ana understands the difficulty in verbally expressing emotions and interpersonal conflict, and with that, creativity blossoms. She is always open to discussing a client’s interests and/or using their own natural skills to aid in coping, managing anxiety/depression as well as minimizing stress, working through trauma, PTSD, and overall healing.
